    I have it mounted on the Auto Meter 15411 pillar pod, so it's close and easy to read. Numbers are big enough and the sweep is easy to see with peripheral vision my so eyes don't leave the road.

    Works as advertised. Not many choices for a 52mm tach, but I feel this is the best. Too many "made in china" tachs failing in a couple months or less. Buy this one and just be done with it.

    This tach looks good, seems accurate, installs easily. Everything needed is included in the package. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. I replaced all the gauges in my show car with matching Auto Meter gauges and they look very nice and professional. I modified the tach for in-dash installation which was quite simple. Very pleased with Auto Meter.

    The best thing about this tach is longevity. Auto Meter has kept this basic design for this particular model for years. I had an older model of this tach, that made it into more than one vehicle over it's 20 year lifespan. They changed the mounting slightly, and used plastic for the mount( the old one was steel ), but it mounted clean and is surprisingly sturdy. Large face and numbers make it easy to see and it installs simple, Especially if you already have one. Mine is mounted into an 87 Chevy 4wd, that sees dirt quite often and gets shook around. No problems.

    Autometer makes good products. The actual autometer line is much more accurate than the autogage line if you can afford the extra cost.

    I brought this for my 1947 ford coupe with Fathead and 12 volt conversion.The 5 inch size fit perfectly in place of the original clock and I did not have to disturb the mint dashboard. Tach. works great and needle is very steady and the beige face looks vintage and does not clash with the original interior look.

    Shipped fast, installed with no problems and is working great. Some say it may be overkill but after blowing the heads off the car I would rather have a giant tach and light shining in my face than a puddle of oil and coolant under the car at the track!

    This tac will work as a in dash tac . I am putting this tac in a 84 GMC truck bezal with a autometer 5 inch sportcomp speedometer . The real size of the autogauge tac is 5 inch wide and 4 inch deep . The inside of the dial is 4 1/4 inch .

    This is the perfect addition if you actually have gauges you need to see within the steering wheel or if you have a cruiser as opposed to a hot rod.

    Purchased this Tachometer to install on my Dodge Ram van 5.2 L V/8 w/o.d. Reads very accurate..because of it's smaller in diameter size you can just about mount it anywhere. mounted mine on steering wheel column and still have great visibility of the stock instrument cluster gauges. the larger model would have partially blockedthe stock gauges. I give this Tachometer a thumbs Up Rating! Recommended product.TABJR Huntsville,AL

    This is an awesome tachometer great for racing or for some quick shifting with a shift light that can be set to any rpm. It is definitely worth the price.

    this was exactly what i was looking for. i almost purchased it from Summit but the price was about the same and i had a few other things to order from AutoPartsWAY.There aren't that many 6k tachs out there. it's a bit of an under-appreciated range. there are lots and lots of 8k, 10k, 12k tachs out there, i guess for all the kids who think it might be a good idea to rev their honda engines that high.I got this because I wanted a basic, no frills tach for my 1967 4 cylinder. revving to 10k is not part of the plan for my 40 year old car. Nice size (small-ish), & the green backlight almost perfectly matches the green instrumentation lighting original to the car.

    Review of Auto meter 2891I used Auto meter products for the last 25 years. As before, Auto meter offers a no thrills compact tachometer, model 2891. This is exactly what I needed in my '75 pick up truck. A no thrills tachometer is hard to find today, since most aftermarket tachs are geared toward street racers. For older applications this is the best alternative. Unit is very compact and can be attached to a steering column with a pair of hose clamps. Unit has 6000 RPM capability which is logical since most push-rod engines will red line at about 5k. My only complaint is that due to internal structure needle will not go to 0 RPM when turned off. There is an explanation in accompanying manual - with adequate illustrations and connection schematic. 2891 is well built in USA. This is not Chinese made POS!!//RF

    I installed this tach on a 2007 Toyota Yaris with manual transmission. Connection was simple, involving only 4 wiring connections (red wire to 12 volt "+" at ignition switch, black wire to chassis bolt under dash, white wire to dashboard lighting circuit, and green wire to Tach Signal wire at OBD-II connector). Product does not come with wire taps, you have to buy your own or use wire nuts or solder the splices. The tach mounts via a 1" square, flat pedestal that has holes for three #8 sheet metal screws, or you can use the included double-sided adhesive pad.The movement of this tach seems to be very smooth and precise. At $68, it is twice as expensive as the equivalent Sunpro tach, but I wanted full scale of 6000 rpm, not the 8000 rpm that was the only type offered by Sunpro, so I went with this unit. Build quality seems very good, consistent with the $68 price.The instruction booklet for connecting the tach is not very detailed. The instructions suggest...
